I am native to the San Francisco Bay Area. I attended UC Davis right after highschool and majored in Design and minored in Studio Art. After graduating I moved to New York City. For about the first 3 years things were still done the old fashioned way, without the Mac. It is here where I first got into designing packaging. After 6 years in NYC I moved back to the Bay Area, where I then focused exclusively on illustration. Seeking new challenges, I returned to school to earn a secondary teaching credential in art. I taught for a few years in middle school and high school, specializing in mostly drawing and painting fundamentals, with some courses in stagecraft, animation, and art history. Currently I am freelancing and taking on more graphic design work, in addition to illustration. I live in Oakland's Uptown district, a block from the Fox Theater.
